Situational Judgement Test Marking Scheme for GPST Stage 2

Ranking questions

Each question has a suggested ranking of the answers, for example CABED where C is the most appropriate answer and D is the least appropriate answer.

This suggested ranking is then compared to your answer. The difference between the suggested ranking and your answer is used to give you a mark out of 12, with 12 being the perfect mark. The minimum mark for each question is 0.

For example, if you answered ACBED and the model ranking is CABED
the 'A' is 1 place away from its position in the model ranking, meaning 1 point is removed from the starting mark of 12 = 11
the 'C' is also 1 place away from its position in the model ranking, giving an updated mark of 11 - 1 = 10
the 'B' is in the same position as in the model ranking therefore there is no change to the mark
the 'E' is in the same position as in the model ranking therefore there is no change to the mark
the 'D' is in the same position as in the model ranking therefore there is no change to the mark
this gives a final mark of 10 out of 12

Multiple best answer questions

Multiple best answer questions are also marked out of 12. This allows aggregate scoring to be done for both types of question.

If there are 3 correct responses for a scenario then each correct response will be worth 12 / 3 = 4 points

If there are 2 correct responses for a scenario then each correct response will be worth 12 / 2 = 6 points
